CASE STUDY | EDUCATION | VIDEO SERIES | UKRAINIAN CANDIDATES
How do you make studying in Poland tangible for people deciding from another country?
Rek House and Whites created a three-film series for the former Wyższa Szkoła Bankowa, now WSB Merito Universities. Designed for prospective students in Ukraine, the films answered practical questions about the university, the first month of study and opportunities after graduation.
ABOUT THE CLIENT

Choosing a university abroad begins with practical questions.
The project was commissioned for the former Wyższa Szkoła Bankowa, which now operates as WSB Merito Universities.
Candidates making a decision from another country need more than a list of courses. They want to see the university, understand the first weeks of study and imagine the opportunities that may follow graduation.
THE CHALLENGE
Deliver practical information while preserving the Ukrainian audience's perspective.
The films needed to address real candidate barriers, remain consistent with the university's communication and work within a partnership between the brand, agency and production team.
The film needed to:
- show the most important places and everyday university experience;
- answer questions that arise before and after studies begin;
- adapt the language and perspective to prospective students in Ukraine;
- maintain a clear division of roles between the university, agency and production crew.
SOLUTION AND APPROACH
Three audience questions became the structure for three films.
Rek House co-created the concept with Whites, then planned the production, recorded image and sound, and edited three films that lead the audience from orientation on campus to a wider professional perspective.
Series concept
Three subjects organised around consecutive candidate questions and barriers.
Production preparation
Shoot plan, schedule, locations and preparation of on-screen contributors.
Image and sound
Filming at the university and recording contributors in a credible context.
Editing and post-production
Three coherent films prepared for recruitment communication.
HOW WE WORKED
From the objective to a film ready to use.
Candidate questions
We identified the information that helps someone abroad understand the university and the next stage of their decision.
Concept with Whites
Together with the agency, we turned audience questions into the structure of a three-film series.
Shoot planning
We prepared the locations, contributors and shots needed to present studying in Poland credibly.
Series production
We recorded image and sound, then edited three films into one coherent communication set.

Recruitment videos for universities. Frequently asked questions.
Clear answers about university video production, international student communication and collaboration between a brand, agency and film crew.
What did Rek House produce for WSB Merito Universities?+
Rek House and Whites created a series of three films for prospective students in Ukraine. The films covered the most important places at the university, the first month of study and the possibility of running a business after graduation.
How should a recruitment film for international students be planned?+
Begin with the questions and barriers of a clearly defined audience. The film should show the place, everyday experience, practical beginning of study and opportunities after graduation. This insight then guides the choice of contributors, locations and series format.
Why was the WSB Merito project created as a three-film series?+
Each film answers a different stage of the candidate journey. The first introduces the university, the second makes the beginning of study easier to understand, and the third presents future opportunities. The university can publish each part separately for audiences with different needs.
How can university communication be adapted for candidates in Ukraine?+
The content needs the perspective of that specific audience, clear language and answers to questions caused by moving and studying in another country. Real places and experiences are more useful than relying only on broad promotional claims.
How do a university, agency and video production company work together?+
The university contributes knowledge of its offer and candidates, the agency leads the wider communication, and the production company turns the brief into a script, shoot plan, image, sound and post-production. Clear ownership speeds up decisions and keeps the series consistent.
Which parts of university video production can Rek House manage?+
The scope can include concept development, scripts, shoot planning, production coordination, filming, sound recording, editing, post-production, subtitles, and versions adapted to selected channels and languages.
Where can universities use recruitment videos?+
The films can support recruitment websites, social media, paid campaigns, candidate emails, open days and information events. A series lets the university match a specific film to the audience's question or decision stage.
What should a video series for international candidates include?+
A useful series shows the place of study, the beginning of university life, people and everyday situations, as well as the educational or professional perspective. Subjects should come from research, candidate conversations and the institution's recruitment goals.
